Meet the Founder: Dionne Kaye

Equine Therapist | CCF Tour Manager | Musician / Playwright | Cancer Survivor

Dionne is the heart behind Castle Colorado Equestrian—a proud mother of four, grandmother, musician, certified Equine Therapist, and two-time stage IV colon cancer survivor in full remission since 2022.

Her lifelong connection with horses began at age four. Over the decades, Dionne’s path spanned creative work as a musician, studying music education at Metropolitan State University of Denver, and navigating corporate wealth management with Merrill Lynch across Colorado and San Diego. Through every chapter, horses remained her anchor.

A Healing Partnership At age 54, a severe ankle break brought Dionne’s physical world to a halt. During her healing process, she worked closely with Cisco—a rehabilitating horse recovering from a bowed suspensory and stringhalt. Experiencing their shared physical and emotional recovery inspired Dionne to earn her formal certification in Equine Therapy.
